Hong Kong from Above

Get yourself up to Victoria Peak, the highest peak in Hong Kong. Gaze enviously at the posh houses as you chug past on the bus (yes – buses chug).

You’ll be dropped off at the back of a shopping mall, walk around it and you’ll discover a small hive of restaurants, shops and great views.

Yes, that’s right.  I’m cursed with high points and cloudiness, they just seem to go hand in hand (don’t even ask about my unsensational Mount Fuji climb, sob).  But that there view is of Central and Kowloon.

Bit of a zooming in on the high rise flats (they’re teeny tiny inside).

Night view is fantastic.  Kind of managed to use the mist in the air to my advantage.  Props to me.

It was just before Chinese New Year when I visited, so the buildings were lit up with twice as many lights.  But it was the longest queue for a bus I’ve ever seen when it was time to head back to flat ground.
