Please allow me to introduce … drumroll pleasePhotobomb Monkey.

Having arrived in Agra on a national holiday, the doors to the Taj Mahal were closed, so I went on a rooftop bar/beer mission.

Sitting on the rooftop restaurant of the Saniya Palace Inn, you get great views of the Taj fringed with flora and fauna.  So there I was, attempting to take a few arty shots, and along comes Photobomb Monkey.

Used to tourists and cameras, Photobomb Monkey took a while to decide which was his best side for the camera.  Vain – a little.

Hmm, maybe this side is better he thinks to himself, not wanting his friends to make fun of him if he gets tagged in his Facebook page.

Having learnt from the best models, he turns a shoulder towards the camera, turning his head to the side a little and looks out yonder into the future to his modelling career.  What a poser.

What happened next?  He realised he was thirsty and went to grab my beer.  So I leapt up in a non-graceful manner, made some sort of ‘arghhhh’ noise and grabbed everything on the table, at which point the waiters came and chased him away.  Bye bye Photobomb Monkey.

Want a picturesque tour round the Taj Mahal?  You can find it here.  Smiley face.

For more Monday’s Monkeys, they’re in the top menu under ‘Incredibly Interesting Stuff’ (cause they are, aight).
